Introducing our state-of-the-art thin disk pump optics, designed to guide up to 10 kW of pump power multiple times over a laser active thin disk medium. This technology is compatible with our TD20 or TD25 disks.

Key Features:

  • Operational Power: Can be operated with a pump power of up to 10 kW. A prototype system will soon be tested.
  • Compatibility: Designed for laser disks with a free aperture of up to 25 mm (TD 20, TD 25, TD 30) and pump spot diameters of up to 22 mm.
  • Guiding Light: Capable of guiding the pump light with 24 passes over the laser disk. An optional 48 passes can be offered.
  • Fiber Delivery: The pump power is delivered in fibers. Interfaces for common fiber connectors are available. A special version can accommodate up to three fibers.
  • Cooling System: Features a water-cooled frame and optics with symmetrical cooling to avoid thermal misalignment.
  • Inclusions: Comes with collimation and a fiber connector for one fiber.
  • Version: A laboratory version is available for R&D purposes.

Our pump concept is protected by patents EP 1 252 687 and EP 1 103 090, invented by Dr. Giesen and coworkers, and licensed to D+G. The pump concept for 48 passes is protected by patent DE 10 2013 114 748.8.
