A medical company was introducing a new device, but their current laser diode supplier was not able to meet the quality requirements, price constants, or the volumes needed.
RPMC Lasers, with the support of one of our manufacturers, was able to design a drop-in replacement that met all their quality requirements, reduced the unit price in higher volumes, and with the manufacturing facilities in place to meet the volumes needed by the customer.
A customer needed a special wavelength laser diode with a specific lensing requirement in a hermetically sealed HHL package.
RPMC Lasers, with the support of LDX Optronics, was able to provide the wavelength needed, developed the lensing specification that met the customer’s needs, and provide the laser diode, lensing, TEC, and PD in a hermetically sealed HHL package.
A customer needed extremely high-power and efficient laser diode bars in a series of very specific wavelengths.
RPMC Lasers, with the support of Jenoptik, was able to customize the laser diode bar design for the specific wavelengths needed and to improve efficiency and the cavity length and emitter design to improve output power and provide the ideal solution for the customer.
A dental equipment manufacturer needed assistance in developing a 4W 808nm laser diode in a 9mm package, since there were no standard products on the market that fit the specifications.
RPMC Lasers and LDX Optronics were able to provide the perfect solution through an iterative design and testing process (detailed in this article), ultimately developing a brand new, hermetically sealed 9mm SMA package with increased output power and operating temperature range.
