The Microchip series SB1-UV is a line of ultra-compact, ruggedized, single longitudinal mode (SLM), narrow linewidth, passive q-switch, ns pulsed, ultraviolet DPSS lasers. Offering exceptional performance and versatility in a compact form factor, every model is 1:1 interchangeable, regardless of wavelength. The UV Microchip lasers are available at 236.5, 266, and 355nm, featuring 1.3 ns pulse widths, pulse energy up to 2 µJ, and repetition rates up to 10 kHz. Available in wavelengths from the UV to the NIR, the Microchip series is designed for 24/7 operation in harsh environments for handheld, portable, and airborne applications like LIDAR, 3D scanning, LIBS, night vision, and more.

This unique microchip laser technology has been taken to new heights with the completely re-designed all-in-one SB1 model, which features an advanced optical, mechanical, and electronic design. The laser cavity and driving and monitoring electronics have been integrated into a single-unit, highly integrated, and rugged laser package, while maintaining outstanding laser output performance. The SB1 model is available in 28 standard, yet customizable configurations, providing flexibility and versatility to system integrators who want to explore new applications. The series is also equipped with a beam expander and collimator, a development kit, and a quick start/evaluation kit.
