For over 10 years, Quantum Light Instruments (QLI), founded in 2014 in Vilnius, Lithuania, has designed and manufactured compact, fully air-cooled (“water-free”) DPSS nanosecond pulsed lasers. These systems eliminate chillers, bulky power supplies, and external water cooling while delivering up to 200 mJ pulse energy. QLI offers actively or passively Q-switched models using Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF crystals with end-pumping technology, supporting repetition rates from 1–200 Hz or 1–100 kHz (model dependent).
QLI stands out for reliable high-energy output, good beam quality, and strong customization support. The company routinely modifies packages, for example, fitting a 100 mJ-class laser into tight integration spaces or redesigning units for harsh environments based on direct customer feedback. Accessories include harmonic generators (up to the 5th harmonic with up to 3 configurable output ports), OPOs, Raman shifters, attenuators, energy monitors, and fiber-coupling modules. Harmonic generation extends output into the deep-UV range down to 211–213 nm. Custom modules and configurations are available on request.

QLI’s key innovation is water-free laser crystal cooling technology combined with laser diode end-pumping. The absence of water resulted in a single-box, compact, user-friendly turnkey laser that requires little maintenance. There are no chillers or bulky power supplies that one needs to fit under the table. The only external module is the mains adapter.
