Cleaning Lasers

Laser cleaning is a laser ablation process whereby a high power q-switched laser is rapidly scanned across a metal part, causing any residual oxides or organic materials on the surface of the material to burn off without damaging the metal underneath.  Cleaning lasers are typically high pulse energy q-switched fiber lasers, and flashlamp pumped solid state lasers in the near infrared wavelength region.  Laser cleaning not only increases throughput from traditional cleaning methods, but it also has the added advantage of being more environmentally friendly than the acids and other solvents used in conventional cleaning.  On this page you will find a list of all of the cleaning lasers we offer ranging from high power fiber lasers to high pulse energy flashlamp pumped laser systems.
