Incorporated in 1996, RPMC was started to assist LDX Optronics generate world wide attention to their high quality, multimode laser diode products. This allowed LDX Optronics to concentrate on technical challenges and production without the diversions of sales calls and endeavors. RPMC now handles all of the LDX Optronics sales and marketing efforts worldwide
RPMC was founded by Chuck Ratermann. Chuck started RPMC before being sought by CEO (Cutting Edge Optronics) to be their director of sales and marketing where he served until early in 2003. Chuck accepted the role at Cutting Edge Optronics with the understanding that he be permitted to continue RPMC part time.
In 2003, Dean Micke purchased half of RPMC. At that time, both Dean and Chuck went full time with RPMC. Dean and Chuck had worked at Cutting Edge Optronics for about 8 years. CEO manufactures high quality, good value 2D and 3D laser diode arrays and other diode pumped laser products. Prior to CEO, both Dean and Chuck each worked at other diode laser and/or diode pumped laser (dpss) firms for numerous years.
In June 2003, RPMC became the North American manufacturer’s rep for Lumera Laser picosecond laser products.
RPMC now represents additional laser firms (See our home page) and will continue to add laser firms when it makes good sense for both parties. As we add them, they will appear on our website. The most important part of the decision to represent other laser firms is a belief that these firms offer high quality products.
Our promise to the customer is that we will always give the best possible advice. This sometimes causes us to send you to firms we do not represent. But in doing so, we hope you will come back when you have another need.
