The premier products LUMERA manufacturers are the RAPID, SUPER RAPID, and HYPER RAPID lasers. They produce essentially the same 'cold processing' micromachining results that you will find from most femtosecond or ultrafast lasers. The major benefits of using these ~12 picosecond lasers for your micromachining tasks are:

	Higher rep rate: The RAPID series can achieve rep rates beyond 1 MHz while most femtosecond lasers are limited to 1 or 3 kHz. This translates into faster processing speed and thus lower cost.
	Higher average power: Most femtosecond lasers are 1 or 3W. The RAPID series are offered in 2W, 10W, and 50W (coming soon), at 1.06 µm. (Harmonics are available at 532, 355 and 266 nm.) This translates into higher processing speed.
	Industrial Ruggedness: The RAPID series were designed for a micromachining manufacturing environment. No more concerns about having to tune the laser frequently, or, as the old joke goes, shipping a PhD with the laser.
