Picosecond Laser Job Shop Services

LUMERA LASER has a very fine laser job shop where they offer cold ablation micromachining job shop services.  Having invested in an extensive applications lab, they eventually decided to use this facility for job shop work.  They have lased over 600 sample sets in the apps lab.  Now these same engineers are satisfying lots of customer needs!  No one is more experienced at industrial ultrafast micromachining than LUMERA!  With this cold processing, material is removed without delivering heat to the work piece!  

Picosecond lasers are ideal for applications where you do not want: 

  • Heat affected zone
  • Recast
  • Burrs

In addition, the picosecond laser can deliver much more precise results: each pulse removes between 10 and 100 nm thickness, so as you can readily imagine, we can do highly precise removal. The picosecond lasers generally can do 10:1 and lower aspect ratio work, but there are exceptions. We will get a very fine quality finish for you.
